Franklin Pike Residence - Reclaimed Slate
Project Overview
The homeowner requested to take a 75 year old Buckingham Slate and replace it with shingles. From previous estimates, it looked like the homeowner would have to remove the slate as he was told that it "was no good". When we arrived, we assessed the roof and found a beautiful Buckingham Slate. Our suggestion was to remove the slate and replace the metals with copper and the underlayments. Then take this old Buckingham Slate and reused the material called reclaimed slate. Our client was ecstatic to have this opportunity to continue the aesthetics of their home and we were excited to make that happen for them.
